How we prepare our family guides
Last updated September 12, 2026
Parent ER Ready publishes practical guidance about organizing and communicating family-provided emergency information. Our content is educational and organizational. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment guidance.
Source selection
We prioritize current public guidance from government health agencies, public health systems and recognized professional medical organizations. Examples include the FDA, AHRQ, National Institute on Aging, CMS and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Every guide links to the specific sources used.
Writing and review
The Parent ER Ready Editorial Team turns source material into plain-language organization steps for family caregivers. We check that factual statements remain within the cited source, that uncertain information is never presented as certain, and that the guide does not tell readers to diagnose or change treatment.
Medical review status
Our current articles are not presented as individually reviewed by a physician. We say this plainly so readers can judge the material accurately. Questions about a person’s medicines, symptoms, treatment or emergency needs belong with a qualified health professional or emergency service.
Updates and corrections
We review a guide when a cited source materially changes, when the product workflow changes, or when a credible correction is received. The visible updated date and structured publication data are changed only after a substantive review. Older wording may be replaced to improve clarity without changing the underlying scope.
Commercial independence
The guides may link to the Parent ER Ready product because it implements the organization process described. Product links do not change which public sources we select or the safety limits applied to an article. We do not accept paid medical claims or undisclosed sponsored recommendations.
